Hope in the Storm
My world, my life, my home like the weather,
Never stays one way for longer than the
clouds stay together.
All I own and all I know gone from my grasp,
Wiped away like a tear in the rain, nothing
but a smeared mask.
Gone good to bad then back again, never
staying one way for longer than the beach
keeps the sand.
My hope begins to shimmer, trickles down
the side. The storm brews up again, the
angels start to cry.
Whirlwind of emotions, my mind begins to
ache. Everything shining bright fades,
while my heart breaks.
Deep breathe in and out, a calmer breeze.
The wind dies down a notch, the sun is released.
Healed by its rays, my clouds fall away. A
light shines out. Is this the Lord's Grace?
